SciPro is partnering with a leading biotech company at the forefront of Oncology and Metabolic innovation.
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development leader to work directly with the Executive team in spearheading strategy, execution, transaction management and partnership development.
You will be directly reporting to the President of the organization and overseeing the entirety of the team's clinical portfolio.
This role requires a weekly onsite presence in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Identify and target ideal partnership collaborations and M&A opportunities.
- Transaction Management: Manage the end-to-end process of each deal, negotiation and transaction to ensure a smooth and efficient outcome.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Research the market to identify growth opportunities ad potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Advanced Degree (MBA, PhD, or PharmD).
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in BD, Search and Evaluation or Transaction Management within Biotech and/or Pharmaceutical.
- Deal Experience: At least 5 successful deals (varying from M&A, in-licensing/out-licensing or partnership collaborations)
- Culture Fit: Willing to be flexible and agile, hands-on and not focus on "managing" as this role does not come with direct reports at the moment. Looking for an individual willing to do the ground work and build alongside this growing mid-size biotech.
