With this, they have required our assistance to find a Senior Composite Process Engineer. This role involves the professional to collaborate and drive improvements on the shop floor, cross collaborating with engineering, technology and customer service and other departments.
They will truly be the, 'go-to' composite engineer in the plant, and be trusted to drive creative and innovative projects, building relationships with operators and providing bottlenecks with tactical solutions. They will be hands on with new cell development, structures and given full autonomy for process improvement, as well as drive test laboratory equipment to optimize composite design.
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering (composites, mechanical, or chemical preferred)
- 5-10 years of professional experience working in a manufacturing environment, with recent composites/pultrusion/filament winding experience strongly preferred.
- Must be an energetic and hands-on problem solver, self-motivated, self-starting, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
- Capable of working from a vision, from which they can independently develop actionable tasks and projects.
- Experience with 3D modeling using SolidWorks of parts, assemblies, and drawings with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5; Formal GD&T training is desirable.
- Experience with MS Office
