About the role:
The Warehouse Manager at Nysonian Inc. is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and timely distribution of goods. This role requires strong leadership to manage warehouse staff, optimize processes, and maintain safety standards. The Warehouse Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and support the company’s fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and tracking of stock levels.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes to meet customer and internal demands.
- Optimize warehouse layout and implement organizational systems to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Manage and mentor warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to streamline operations and resolve any issues related to product flow.
- Utilize warehouse management software (WMS) to track inventory, orders, and productivity metrics.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance, reduce costs, and increase accuracy.
- Monitor warehouse equipment, coordinate maintenance, and ensure the availability of necessary tools and resources for smooth operations.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar leadership role within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management procedures, inventory control, and best practices in logistics.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as necessary to meet business needs.
