This is a full-time, onsite position that is based out of our headquarters in Franklin, TN.
As an Engineering Operations Supervisor, here are a few things that you'll be doing...
- Based on priorities established by the Engineering Network Operations Manager, schedule, implement, lead, and document projects related to preventive maintenance and upgrades of equipment in the transmission chain at all EMF facilities.
- Provide training as necessary and ensure appropriate work orders are generated and completed.
- Delegate workflow among the Engineering Operations Team.
- Monitor day-to-day issues/resolutions; track and ensure the accuracy of the data recorded for each signal; partner with site staff for accurately and completely entering required information into database(s) related to EMF-owned towers and assets at each location. Respond to and resolve any questions as applicable.
- Work with Field Engineers to capture required maintenance progress and monitor other processes to ensure all personnel within Engineering Operations Support team are completing their tasks and the information is recorded in the maintenance database.
- Generate and provide regular reports of various projects and activities to the Engineering Network Operations Manager for review.
- Address conflicts constructively and facilitate resolutions to maintain team cohesiveness and productivity.
- As necessary, source and implement training programs for the Engineering Operations Support Team in various areas.
- Approve leave requests and time and attendance for direct reports.
- Provide outstanding customer service. Proactively respond to inquiries and concerns; clearly and positively communicate solutions with exceptional follow through.
- Effectively and efficiently route and answer questions not requiring manager’s attention or time, keeping manager informed along the way.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to Engineering Operations Team, while providing support to the Engineering Network Operations Manager in developing a highly competent and responsive support team.
- Foster a learning environment where training, operational best practices, and biblical values go hand-in-hand with creative and entrepreneurial solution that best fulfill the ministry’s mission.
- Supervise and assume responsibility for the performance of Engineering Operations Support Team.
- Actively seek and partake in training & education to deepen Biblical understanding, media/business acumen, leadership knowledge, interpersonal awareness, and communication skills.
Here's what we're looking for in an Engineering Operations Supervisor...
- Associates degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
- SBE Radio Operator Certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of general office work experience and prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software and project management.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring and tracking complex projects using databases and spreadsheets.
- Strong computer skills; including knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio) and analytics tools. Knowledge of Maintenance Connection application a plus.
- Ability to plan, organize, lead, and direct medium- to large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals.
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with ability to multi-task and keep multiple projects moving forward with accuracy and excellence.
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to clearly communicate technical issues in an understandable way.
- Demonstrated ability to regularly adapt to change while maintaining a positive attitude and high productivity.
- Possess a collaborative and flexible style, with strong service mentality. Need to be seen as a team player.
- Demonstrated ability to represent ministry and leadership staff professionally and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of ministry and non-profit environment.
