Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Data Modelling
Work Location: Tampa,Florida
Job Description:
- Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
- Ensure data models adhere to data governance and quality standards.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into data models and schema designs.
- Oracle PL/SQL Development:
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization:
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimization to enhance system performance.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and other issues affecting database performance.
- Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document data models, database designs, and development processes.
- Create reports and dashboards as needed to support business decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for ongoing and future reference.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
- Strong experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, Oracle Data Modeler).
- Proven track record in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with database management and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with other database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases and technologies.
