GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The manufacturing supervisor manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production output, production quality, and other production-related activities to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard.
CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Motivates manufacturing staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains quality by enforcing organization manufacturing standards.
- Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Analyzes production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains good working relationships.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Flexibility to work when needed for production.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Possession of at least a high school diploma or GED is required, and a post-secondary degree is preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must work effectively with divergent types of people. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software. Driving is a requirement for this position. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and driving record which is acceptable to our insurance provider. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. use of protective gear).
