An Associate Attorney with 2+ years' professional experience is needed in New Orleans. The Associate Attorney will have a background in commercial litigation, contract law, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a critical role in representing clients, possess exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Associate Attorney Responsibilities
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research on complex commercial legal issues, statutes, and regulations to provide informed legal advice.
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including commercial agreements, business transactions, and corporate documents.
- Litigation Support: Provide support in commercial litigation cases, including preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs. Attend hearings, depositions, and court proceedings as required.
- Client Management: Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients by providing clear, concise, and timely legal advice. Assist clients in resolving business disputes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Corporate Transactions: Assist in corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and risk assessment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advise clients on regulatory matters, including federal, state, and local compliance issues in industries such as finance, healthcare, and real estate.

Associate Attorney Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Louisiana state bar.
- 2+ years' experience in commercial law, business litigation, or corporate transactions preferred.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, handling discovery, and preparing for trial.
