Research Associate / Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology

SUMMARY/SCOPE:
BioPhase is seeking a motivated and talented Research Associate / Scientist to support ongoing In Vivo Pharmacology research efforts. This position is focused on utilizing small animal models to advance drug discovery research in a dynamic lab environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Broad knowledge of small animal anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with setting up subcutaneous xenograft models.
- Basic lab animal handling skills, including dosing (PO, SC, IP, and IV), sample collection (blood and tissue), basic necropsy, and general lab sanitation.
- Monitoring tumor growth and the overall health of animals, including weight monitoring.
- Maintaining accurate record-keeping in laboratory notebooks and relevant databases.
- Experience with basic in vitro techniques, such as cell culture, RNA preparation from tissues, qPCR, Western blotting, and flow cytometry (preferred but not required).
PREREQUISITES:
- BS/MS in a relevant scientific field with work experience in In Vivo Pharmacology.
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $85,000 DOE
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a proven track record in drug discovery research. They will demonstrate scientific achievement and an ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
