Account Manager
Reports to: Senior Manager of Client Operations
Status: Regular, Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Palatine, IL (Hybrid)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing client base to ensure our customers are completely satisfied with FIT Solutions' services and support. Our ideal candidate will have experience managing clientele base with proactive engagement, relationship building, and a proven record of high retention rates.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
- Streamline clients through consultation and strategic technology planning to maintain client profitability. (TBP’s Delivered)
- Provide ongoing planning, strategy, development, and execution of initiatives that deepen the customer relationship. (Weekly/Monthly Meetings)
- Maintains and develops existing client base to ensure customers satisfaction with FIT Solutions services and support. (CSAT)
- Expanding existing relationships through proactive communication and problem solving to retain clients. (Client Retention Metric/Revenue Retained Under Management)
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES
- Identifies at-risk clients and escalates potential risks or challenges to retain client business.
- Builds strong relationships with clients by understanding client business needs through relationship building.
- Provides excellent customer service and develops client satisfaction to ensure clients renew contracts and provide referrals.
- Upskill engineering team on customer service aspect of deliverables.
- Visit clients on a routine basis and facilitate introductory meetings for all new clients.
- Corresponds with points of contact on weekly basis of each of FIT Solutions’ accounts.
- Participates in the onboarding of new clients by learning business practices and helps direct the engineering team in the understanding of client priorities.
- Schedules and executes Technology Business Planning (TBP) meetings.
- Procures quotes for hardware and software and presents to clients in conjunction with procurement department.
- Participates in daily and weekly operations meetings to track task and project closures in a timely manner.
- Leads monthly account management meetings with engineers to update teams on prevailing client issues, concerns, and satisfaction.
- Partners with sales team to attract new business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Fundamental knowledge the following: desktop operating systems, messaging, management, and operations, and/or network security.
- Experience managing B2B relationships (preferred).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum two (2) years' experience.
- Charismatic, takes initiative, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills needed to develop strong business relationships with clients.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
