Position Overview
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team for the Company. This role will require a proven track record of success in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the retail food market, and a strong ability to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Lead Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a high-performing sales team. Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to foster their growth.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail customers, including grocery chains, convenience stores, and wholesalers.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through effective sales execution, new business development, and account management.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends.
- Sales Performance: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes.
- Negotiations: Lead negotiations with customers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Sales Tools: Implement and manage sales tools and systems to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ YOE in the retail food industry and 5+ YOE in leadership.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the retail food market, including customer trends, competitive landscape, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with retail food and foodservice distribution
- Knowledge of sales automation tools and CRM systems.
