BIM/Revit Manager
Overview:
New Orleans, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a BIM/Revit Manager to oversee the implementation and management of BIM processes and Revit standards across projects. This role involves coordinating between various teams to ensure seamless model integration, managing digital information, and maintaining high-quality standards. The BIM/Revit Manager will also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, performing quality control, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders.
Essential Duties:
• Plan, implement, and manage the use of digital technology for document management and drawing production.
• Maintain Revit/CAD standards, details, protocols, and workflows for consistency and quality.
• Stay updated with Revit/CAD technologies and tools; assess their potential benefits and recommend software and hardware investments.
• Perform quality control checks to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies; assist with file management and logs to ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide Revit support to engineers, including troubleshooting technical issues, setting up projects and sheets, drafting, printing, plotting, and assisting with software setup and model coordination.
• Oversee collaborative efforts of various teams and disciplines; manage the creation, organization, and maintenance of BIM models.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards and protocols; facilitate effective communication between stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues related to model coordination and clash detection; execute BIM uses for single and multidisciplinary coordination, including 3D coordination and design review.
• Proactively address potential clashes during design using BIM tools and implement resolution strategies.
• Manage digital information throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and proper version control; establish and maintain a centralized platform (CDE) for collaborative data sharing.
• Implement processes for data quality control and assurance across various project stages.
• Participate in meetings to discuss BIM-related issues, updates, and coordination efforts.
Requirements/Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required.
• Relevant certifications or coursework in BIM (Building Information Modeling) or Revit (preferred).
• Certifications in Autodesk Revit or AutoCAD (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
• Familiarity with construction processes and document management.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (2019-Current) and Autodesk AutoCAD (2019-Current).
• Basic to advanced computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work at a desk with computer equipment for prolonged periods.
• Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work at a desk with computer equipment for prolonged periods.
• Occasional requirement to attend on-site meetings or inspections.
