What will your role be?
The Aircraft Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production progress of aircraft assemblies, ensuring timely delivery and quality adherence. This role involves managing and tracking work through multiple internal departments at Spirit, including Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, and Engineering, to secure and improve production. The Aircraft Manager will interface with various teams to address quality issues, resource and part shortages, and monitor progress against production windows. Key activities include reporting on production trackers, providing visibility on manufacturing schedules, and anticipating potential bottlenecks.
Activities:
- Managing production progress and outstanding work / follow the MSN
- Interface with a lot of internal departments inside Spirit (Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, Engineering)
- Secure the production of the assembly
- Follow and improve the production of assembly throughout all production areas feeding the assembling area
- Need to have multiple skills to manage
- Report on tracker LOB and compare physically the progress and the ERP at Work order level
- Manage Quality issues on in-house parts and address resources issues and missing part issues
- Provide overview per MSN to anticipate bottlenecks in the production
- Provide visibility on manufacture production window with 2, 3- and 6-month window
- Know when the parts will arrive for the expeditors
- Monitor and report on production progress, identifying and addressing potential delays or bottlenecks
What skills and qualifications are we looking for?
- 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2 years’ experience as managing manufacture projects
- Degree in Engineering, Construction or Aerospace strongly preferred
- Be comfortable in the shop floor
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the organization
- Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to lift and move material which may weigh up to 30 lbs
