Our client is a leading multi-regional truss manufacturer and lumber dealer. catering to multi-family, custom, semi-custom, and production builders across the South and Southeast. They are seeking a Sales Manager to develop and implement market and customer-specific sales strategies and introduce additional product offerings while growing and leading their sales team. Known for their customer-centric approach, this 100% ESOP company is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and providing solutions to their customers.
The Opportunity:
The Sales Manager will be a critical leader within the business, with substantial autonomy in shaping and driving the company’s strategic direction throughout the Texas market. This role will focus on business development and client-facing sales leadership, with a strategic approach to market dynamics and customer needs.
This leader will inherit a $50m+ market with the capacity to double, leading a streamlined team of 5 Outside Sales Reps and 4 sales coordinators. The Sales Manager will craft and execute the sales strategy while attracting and nurturing an exceptional sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of truss manufacturing and framing and excel at building relationships with cross-functional teams.
Reporting directly to the president, the Sales Manager will have significant influence in the company’s leadership and decision-making processes. This position offers robust opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and advancement, with the potential to progress into an executive role.
What you will need to be successful:
- Exceptional technical expertise in trusses, components, framing, and construction, with extensive lumber industry experience, particularly in multifamily and residential building projects.
- Strategic sales leader with experience managing over $50M in revenue and leading a team of 5+ professionals.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and managing high-performing sales teams to achieve outstanding results.
- High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships with experienced cross-functional teams.
- Expert in driving results through a robust sales process and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
