Title: Security Manager
Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Responsibilities
- Advise and consult with ownership regarding security and safety concerns
- Make recommendation regarding security and safety at the executive residences, corporate offices and owned properties
- Plan and execute safe ground transportation for select executives and guests in the Detroit Metropolitan area as designated by the senior executive group and maintain vehicle upkeep
- Maintain an adequate level of physical fitness to allow for moderate to extensive physical exertion entailing prolonged periods of standing, and walking, exposure to inclement weather, traversing multiple flights of stairs and the ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Advise, consult and be familiar with the operation of access card control and alarm systems to override local control of the system when needed
- Establish from hotel security who would be the local emergency responders to the hotel
- Monitor and review the Overseas Security Advisory Counsel (OSAC) Country Security Reports for crime trends and precautions to avoid being a target
- Manage law enforcement responses to alarms and investigate false alarms and discern the possible causes of alarms
- Conduct Risk Assessment of each event and be familiar with the facility emergency procedures and leverage them for the safety of the attendees and if needed to enhance their personal safety
- Coordinate third party security professionals for events
Qualifications
- Law Enforcement experience preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the MCOLES Use of Force Continuum
- Pass the MCOLES Firearms Proficiency Exam, safe handling of firearms
- Pass MCOLES administered LEOSA Training class
