Job Title: Engineering Drafter/Detailer
Location: Remote (must be based in Dallas area for occasional meetings in Forney, TX 75126)
Salary: $30 - $40 per hour, based on experience and skills

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Drafter/Detailer to join our leading civil engineering firm based in Forney, Texas. This is a remote position with occasional meetings required at our Forney office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications from sketches, plans, and other data provided by engineers and designers.
- Utilize CAD software to create and revise engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project objectives, timelines, and specifications.
- Review drawings and designs to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation, including revisions and updates.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and material specifications as needed.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Engineering Drafter/Detailer or similar role in civil engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and familiarity with engineering standards and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and detailing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices is preferred.
- Associate degree or certification in drafting or related field is a plus.
