Our Client is looking for a skilled Production/Manufacturing Manager to lead their Cannabis Operations in Warren, MI. The ideal candidate should have a solid manufacturing/production background, excellent leadership abilities, and a drive for delivering top-notch products in a fast-paced setting. As Manager, you'll be pivotal in ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across the production process, all while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations within the Production/Manufacturing Department
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet demand efficiently and minimize waste.
- Lead a diverse team of employees
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards from state and federal authorities.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee consistency and quality throughout production.
- Keep an eye on key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to spot areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancements.
- Collaborate with other departments like quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain to coordinate activities and address issues.
- Implement safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all staff.
- Drive innovation and process improvements to boost productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or a related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, including 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience in the cannabis industry is a MUST
- MRP experience.
- Experience leading people.
- Lean MFG experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with manufacturing principles like lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to cannabis production.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software/systems.
