Role Summary: As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in training, guiding, and mentoring plant maintenance staff. You will cultivate a culture of engagement through High-Performance Work Teams, directly supervising and training your team while also participating in repairs and staffing activities. Your role will include providing timely coaching, feedback, and creating a supportive learning environment to enhance staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, planning, and execution of all plant maintenance activities, including preventative, predictive, and demand maintenance work.
- Develop and refine detailed maintenance job plans and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues that impact production.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and Safety teams.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs, including inspection, lubrication, repair, and overhaul of mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, fire protection systems, HVAC, egress systems, and exit lighting. Analyze equipment breakdowns and recommend or perform necessary repairs.
- Identify and address gaps in Maintenance and training processes to shift from tactical to more strategic maintenance practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or 2 to 4 years of relevant maintenance experience in a regulated industry.
- Proven leadership skills in a plant maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of project planning tools and experience with their application.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.
- CMMS experience is preferred.
