NOC Technical Support Specialist

RedStream Technology is recruiting a NOC Technical Support Specialist to work in a 7x24x365 operations center. The responsibilities of this position includes triaging, troubleshooting, and resolution of monitored events and monitoring network performance utilizing provided software tool sets . The position also includes escalation and outage reporting within identified timeframes. Technologies supported include Windows Desktops, Windows Servers, Linux Servers, networking devices (switches, routers and firewalls) and application and operating system software.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ years of technical support experience in a customer-facing IT service organization
- Network Monitoring System experience with systems such as Solarwinds, ScienceLogic, or similar platforms
- Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System (OS) support experience
- Remote or virtual machine support experience is a plus
- RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.x experience is a plus
- Experience with endpoint administration for security, patch, and backup management
- Use of an IT Service Management Tool (ITSM) such as ServiceNow or Remedy for incident, problem, and change management
- Exceptional written, listening and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining level-headed and professional at all times
- Must be able to work in a rotating shift environment such as four tens either on day or night shift
- Must be able to work local and major holidays as part of a rotating shift environment
Pay rate depends on experience.
