Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer with strong experience in QlikView/Qlik Sense and/or MicroStrategy to join our team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and business acumen to deliver high-quality data insights and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, dashboard development, and data analysis, with a commitment to driving actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (3+ years) in business intelligence tools, techniques, and data manipulation.
- Must Have:
- Strong experience with QlikView/Qlik Sense and/or MicroStrategy.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Solid experience in creating and developing dashboards.
- Familiarity with tools like DBT is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, capable of consulting on projects, collaborating with end users, and delivering reports that meet specifications.
- Business acumen with the ability to think strategically and resolve issues as they arise.
- Strong data acumen, with skills in analyzing, cleansing, and organizing complex data sets.
- Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
- Knowledge of information design techniques and business intelligence platforms (Qlik, MicroStrategy).
Responsibilities
- Provide data analysis, programming, and coding support for complex components of insights delivery.
- Contribute to data wrangling, user experience/interface design, semantic layer and material view design, and asset lifecycle management across various technologies.
- Organize and present solution design options, recommending patterns based on business requirements to leadership.
- Understand the business problem, context, and audience to inform execution of work.
- Lead root cause analysis of production incidents and provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- Assess data sources and technologies to address business problems effectively.
- Mentor and guide insight developers in delivering solutions that adhere to development standards and guidelines.
- Understand the current delivery portfolio and its alignment with business problems.
- Ensure solution design aligns with enterprise data management, security, and governance controls.
- Coach and aid in the skill development of team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
