Company Overview: Results-driven, relationship-focused commercial construction firm based in North Dallas. This general contractor offers design-build, construction management, and general contracting services across various commercial sectors, including but not limited to Healthcare, Schools, Retail, Office, Religious, and Municipality markets.
Position Overview: The Construction Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring adherence to construction best practices, managing project budgets, and maintaining project profitability. This role is pivotal in upholding the highest safety standards and ensuring the quality and efficiency of all construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise daily field operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement best practices for construction processes and procedures.
- Oversee project budgets, including cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial reporting.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project status, budgets, and performance to the President.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Ability to read construction plans in your sleep.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial construction management.
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction operations for a general contractor.
- Preferred candidates will have a project management/commercial construction background managing up to 10 projects simultaneously valued up to 75M.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects up to $50M.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
