Job Purpose
This role is responsible for the supply of finished tape programming to BritBox across its North America market. This includes both library and premiere content sourced from both BritBox’s parent company and a range of 3rd party distributors.
The person fulfilling this role will partner with a second Content Acquisitions Senior Manager to ensure BritBox has the strongest possible slate of programming to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention. He/she/they will source & track projects, evaluate & recommend targets and negotiate & close deals.
Responsibilities
- Develop long range plans at a service and cohort level; set premiere dates for all priority series
- Work with senior programming stakeholders to set clear priorities across genres, audiences, and content types
- Plan and execute premium offers to retain audience with regards to business development
- Plan and track ungated content for subscriber growth and promotional opportunity
- Oversee short-term scheduling plans
- Create presentations to socialize programming priorities, positioning and USPs
- Partner with finance and analytics teams to pull inventory reports and conduct in-depth analyses of inventory supply
- Analyze performance to create efficient budget optimization, including right-sizing our offer at a service and genre level
- Develop guides for genre-based acquisitions
- Maintain a keen understanding of our KPIs and how they impact scheduling decisions
- Continuously ask critical questions to evaluate and refine our content rollout strategies
- Contribute to an efficient and accurate inventory database
- Screen available series and films to recommend well-suited content for the service
- Research competitive programming, including market trends, to inform rollouts
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations to enhance our competitive positioning
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Run ad-hoc projects and reports as needed

Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years of experience in scheduling strategy, content planning or a similar role within the streaming and/or television industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capability to convey nuanced ideas to various stakeholders
- Capacity to execute the details whilst envisioning the bigger picture
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of programming budgets and good financial business sense
- In-depth knowledge of the streaming landscape, particularly in the US and Canada
- Extensive experience in a data analytics platform like Tableau is helpful
- Experience managing a direct report is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, AirTable is essential
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside of standard US working hours to meet with colleagues based in the UK and Australia is essential
Salary Range: $120-140K base salary.
Please note that the salary range is intended to give as an indicator of the salaries that could be attributed to the breadth or experience for a given role. All candidates will be measured based on their level of experience.
We work flexibly at BritBox, to support new markets some work may be conducted outside of US business hours to coordinate with territories in other time zones.
