About the Role:
The role involves identifying and closing new pharmaceutical solid dosage product development and manufacturing projects and opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, participating in pharmaceutical advertising, marketing, and sales strategies, and engaging in industry associations.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and close new pharmaceutical solid dosage product development and manufacturing projects and opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key pharmaceutical accounts.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmaceutical marketing and sales strategies.
- Engage in applicable pharmaceutical industry associations, including attending and speaking at events.
- Identify potential pharmaceutical product candidates for in-house development.
- Submit project activity, revenue, and other reports to track business development and sales activities.
- Participate in pharmaceutical marketing and sales budget.
- Provide routine updates to EVP, Pharmaceutical Services Division.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry with direct experience in solid oral products.
- Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical business development or sales.
- Experience in selling contract services and/or drug delivery technologies for solid oral products preferred.
- Understanding of drug development phases, generic drug development, regulatory processes, SUPAC-IR & MR guidance, process technologies in final solid oral products, and industry market conditions and trends related to solid oral products.
- Superior business, negotiation, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Aggressive, self-motivated, and personable professional with a proven business development or sales track record.
