OVERVIEW
The Post Production Producer is responsible for supporting the Senior Producer, retouchers, video producer, and studio co-owners in all aspects of our post production studio. The ideal candidate will be proactive and used to working on multiple projects simultaneously in a busy environment. Effective communication is crucial for this role; you will interact with our clients, vendors, and team in an affable manner, comprehending their requirements and presenting solutions to ensure we consistently deliver great service and meet our deadlines.
Interest in video post production is a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support Senior Producer with incoming and active jobs
- Oversee the entire post-production process from when the job comes to final delivery including but not limited to: setting up incoming jobs and fielding client requests, confirming job details with clients, reviewing retouching projects and relaying internal notes to retouchers, acquiring internal approvals where necessary, and tracking additional costs across projects
- Receive, log, and manage returns for client drives
- Organizing digital archive of published jobs
- Ordering supplies for the studio / General studio upkeep
- Assisting with training of production staff and interns
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- BFA/BA/BS degree in a related field
- Ability to communicate effectively in-person, on Slack, via phone, and using email
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated planning skills and the ability to prioritize using information around due dates, clients, internal resource skill sets, and when to escalate for assistance
- Ability to work both independently and within a changing team
- 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably at a post-production studio
- Understanding of Photoshop, InDesign, Google Suite and MAC iOS
- Familiarity with Slack and Basecamp
- Ability to prioritize assignments in order to anticipate and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to interact with internal peers and management as well as vendors and outside agencies.
To start, this position will be in-person at the studio. You will be working in person with the owners while the producers assist on a hybrid schedule. This is a full-time in-person position, approximately 40 hours per week. PTO, medical after 3 months, 401K and hybrid schedule offered after a year. Salary is $62-72K commensurate with experience.
