Cornerstone Credit Union League, headquartered in Plano, Texas, and serving credit unions in the States of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri, is currently seeking a Senior Vice President of Advocacy to strategically lead the advocacy activities for the organization. Reporting to the EVP & Chief Advocacy Officer, this individual will be responsible for strategic planning, directing engagement objectives on the federal and state level, building relationships with lawmakers and government entities, and monitoring proposed legislation. The successful candidate will lead a team of lobbyists across the Cornerstone League region, take an active role in working with the communications team on advocacy related messaging, and work with credit unions to gather data that can be shared with lawmakers regarding key legislation. The ideal candidate will have five plus years of experience in leading advocacy initiatives and managing lobbyists, detailed knowledge of political activities and processes, experience with directing communications on legislation, and hold a bachelor’s degree.
