Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients in various industries to create a robust sales pipeline. Utilize various channels, including phone calls, emails, and networking, to generate leads.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and service issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Sales Negotiations: Skillfully negotiate terms and pricing with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements. Be adept at handling objections and finding win-win solutions.
- Closing Sales Deals: Demonstrate a strong ability to close sales deals, ensuring the attainment of individual and team sales targets. Work collaboratively with customers to finalize contracts and secure long-term commitments.
- Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including client information, sales activities, and progress towards targets. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Collaboration with Operations Team: Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure smooth and timely service delivery. Coordinate with logistics personnel to meet customer demands and expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about changes in the trucking industry, including regulations, technologies, and market dynamics. Continuously improve sales techniques and strategies to enhance overall sales performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in trucking sales or a related industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with van and flatbed truckload freight services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Location and Travel Requirements: This position is based in Nashville, TN and is an in-office job. Travel will be discussed more in-depth during the interview process.
