Must Haves:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in stormwater, drainage, and hydraulic design.
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in an engineering-related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CAD software (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
- Strong problem-solving skills organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
- Responsive and adaptable, with the ability to multitask efficiently.
Plusses:
- Familiarity with Open Roads or Civil 3D and HydroCAD is desirable.
- Experience with Delaware or Maryland projects is highly preferred.

Insight Global is actively seeking a Water Resource Design Engineer to join our client’s team in New Castle or Dover, Delaware. The water Resources design projects will be serving both public agencies and private clients. As a Water Resources Engineer, you’ll collaborate with experienced project managers, designers, and engineers to contribute to exciting civil projects. This role involves performing engineering tasks related to drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and water resource analysis. Responsibilities:
- Perform calculations for drainage design, including spread, pipe and swale capacity, hydraulic grade line, and shear stress.
- Conduct design and computations for stormwater management, utilizing methods such as NRCS Method, Rational Method, DURMM, pond modeling, and non-structural BMP modeling.
- Prepare reports and analyses related to drainage and stormwater designs.
- Design and analyze erosion and sediment control practices.
- Create plans and detailed illustrations for drainage, stormwater, and erosion and sediment control.
- Review and provide input on water resource elements within project plans.
- Investigate, analyze, and report on water resource and drainage studies.
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Interpret and apply local, state, and federal code requirements to designs.
- Collaborate with team members to meet submission schedules.
- Conduct site walk-throughs to ensure compliance with approved designs.
- Attend office and field meetings and participate in inspections.
Compensation:
$75,000-$115,000/yr
