Summary
The Manager of Business Development is responsible for growth of established services and identifying new opportunities to expand Sleep services across the Nuvance Sleep Centers within span of control. This is done in collaboration with the Center’s Medical Directors, sleep services vendor, ancillary staff, administrative leadership, and various supporting departments.
Responsibilities
1.Manages daily operations within the Sleep Lab(s) and maintains working knowledge of all aspects of operations to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory
requirements.
2. Travels as needed between clinical locations within service area to ensure all aspects of operations are being met.
3. Fosters positive relations with sleep medical leadership and other sleep medicine providers for both adult and pediatric services.
4. Ensures vendor partner is adhering to contracted services.
5. Works in collaboration with vendor partner to manage staffing schedules, policy and procedures, supply chain, and equipment maintenance.
6. Ensures a high level of quality to maintain accreditation status with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
7. Works with Medical Directors and vendor partner to identify KPI’s and performance improvement activities and reports results monthly to leadership.
8. Develops annual and long-term goals and implements plans to achieve these goals.
9. Ensures a high level of satisfaction for patients, providers, and staff.
10. Engages appropriate Nuvance Health departments regarding patient access and revenue cycle opportunities.
11. Responsible for department finances which includes both operating and capital budget planning in collaboration of Director of Diagnostic Services. Reports operating
variances during monthly operational review (MOR) meetings.
12. Ensures vendor invoices are received, reconciled, and processed for payment in a timely manner.
13. Promotes a positive work environment that results in a high level of staff engagement. Holds monthly staff meetings. Manages staff time and attendance in API system.
14 . Markets Sleep Center services by visiting referring providers offices and various groups related to sleep medicine using brochures and other marketing material.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Skills Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree, or comparable in years' experience.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sleep leadership position required.
- Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail.
- Possesses computer literacy preferably in MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills and analytical and basic problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to support team philosophy.
- Experience with field marketing necessary.

Travel between our Fishkill Sleep Center, and Rhinebeck Sleep Center required as needed
