The Business Development Assistant will work directly under the Directors of Business Development for a property damage and personal injury firm.
This role is critical in supporting the firm’s efforts to build and maintain relationships with medical providers, public adjusters, referral sources, and other professionals within Central Florida/Tampa to drive case generation and firm growth.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Directors to achieve business development goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Referral Source Outreach:
- Assist the Directors in identifying and developing relationships with referral sources in Central Florida/Tampa.
- Schedule and attend meetings (virtually or in person) with potential and current referral sources to promote the firm’s services.
- Represent the firm at networking events, conferences, and seminars to establish new referral connections.
2. Medical Provider Relationship Management:
- Maintain regular contact with referral partners to ensure strong, ongoing partnerships.
- Monitor provider satisfaction and ensure smooth case referral processes between providers and the firm.
- Help coordinate any firm-hosted events or luncheons with referral partners
3. Market Research and Expansion:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends within the Central Florida/Tampa market.
- Analyze competitor strategies and suggest new tactics to enhance the firm’s business development efforts.
- Compile data and reports on business development activities for review by the Director.
4. Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized records of all communications, meetings, and follow-ups with referral sources and providers.
- Prepare and manage detailed reports on referral source performance, including the number of cases referred and overall conversion rates.
- Assist with calendar management and meeting coordination for the Directors
5. Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for potential clients referred, ensuring that initial consultations are scheduled and followed up on.
- Facilitate client onboarding by ensuring accurate and timely communication between the client, the legal team, and the referral source.
