Our client is the leading supplier of energy optimization solutions for chiller and boiler systems in automotive plants, pharmaceutical campuses and other commercial and industrial sites. This company has been operating for over 20 years and serves a large client base including multiple fortune 500 companies.
The company is growing and looking to add another HVAC Controls Engineer to their engineering team.
Responsibility of a Controls Engineer
To ensure the effective and efficient operation of HVAC industrial chiller and boiler systems, through electrical and controls design, programming, and commissioning (PLCs). Provide project site evaluations, installation support, and client training.
Controls Engineer:
- Inspect project site and assist with implementation plan and schedule
- Verify/troubleshoot equipment status: chillers, boilers, valves, pumps, towers and VFDs
- Collaborate with contractors, clients, and design engineers on project specifications
- Preliminary system startup/commissioning to verify compliance with regulations and codes
- Coordinate field software modifications with system design engineer
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of HVAC control system designs, specifications, and programming code (PLC)
- Generate reports and documentation for clients, detailing system performance, energy usage, and any necessary recommendations for improvement
- Provide training to site operation and maintenance personnel
- Significant weekday travel within US and opportunity for international travel
- Ample per diem travel/meal allowance
- Growth path to Senior System Design Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, OH (On site)
Pay : $75k-$110k + (based on experience)
Travel: domestic; 30% or more – eligible for travel bonus, and per diem allowances
Requirements of HVAC Controls Engineer:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree – technical or engineering field
- 3-5 years’ job experience- industrial controls or industrial HVAC
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience 3-5 Years *
- Passport, driver’s license, and ability to travel within US and Canada
