Key Responsibilities:
- SCCM Management: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot SCCM for software distribution, patch management, and system updates.
- Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency.
- Windows Image Creation and Updating: Create, update, and maintain Windows images for deployment across the organization.
- Virtualization: Utilize virtualization technologies, particularly KVM, to manage and optimize virtual environments.
- Scale Computing Platform: Leverage knowledge of the Scale Computing platform to enhance our infrastructure capabilities (bonus points for experience).
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation.
- Ansible Automation: Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, application deployment, and orchestration.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
- Expertise in Windows image creation, updating, and deployment.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, especially KVM.
- Experience with the Scale Computing platform is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Ansible: Experience in writing Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules.
- Ansible Tower/AWX: Experience with Ansible Tower or AWX for enterprise automation.
- Ansible certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
