Environmental QA/QC Manager Opportunity

Are you passionate about environmental quality assurance and control? We're seeking an experienced Environmental QA/QC Manager to support critical response operations for the EPA Emergency Response Team (ERT) and REAC program. This role provides an exciting opportunity to ensure environmental data integrity in national and international incidents involving hazardous materials and waste sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Quality Management: Maintain and implement the REAC Program Quality System to ensure high standards are met in environmental response efforts.
- Project Oversight: Prepare and review Uniform Federal Policy Quality Assurance Project Plans (UFP-QAPPs) and conduct final reviews of project deliverables, work plans, and SOPs.
- Laboratory Compliance: Provide oversight for National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) accreditation, including lab methods, procedures, and PT sample results.
- Data Validation: Oversee data management and validation in compliance with EPA guidelines for environmental data verification and validation.
- Performance Evaluation: Manage and maintain the laboratory Performance Evaluation (PE) sample program, ensuring the integrity of environmental data provided for decision-making.
What You Bring:
- Education: Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
- Experience: 10-15 years in QA/QC environments, with expertise in U.S. EPA data validation guidelines and environmental analytical methods.
- Technical Skills: Ability to follow SOPs, perform mathematical calculations, and manage comprehensive quality systems.
- Certifications & Clearances: Current Medical Certification (or ability to obtain one), and eligibility to obtain state and federal security clearances.
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
