Licensed Architect
Award-winning architectural firm is looking for a Licensed Architect.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed in the state of Texas.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience with 5 years as a licensed Architect.
- Fluency in English (read, write and speak) Spanish is a plus.
- Must be organized and able to clearly communicate the project schedule.
- Self-Motivated and team player.
- Must have a strong understanding of the local codes and ensure that projects are delivered with Code Compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and/or participates in presentations and interviews.
- Ensure that proper authorization of fee proposals have been obtained prior to the commencement or continuation of work.
- Assists in managing contracts, must keep records related to project details, including materials, schedule, cost, project deliverables and progress.
- Establishes project milestones and ensures architectural design work is completed on time and adheres to the established specifications and standards.
- Work with team members to develop architectural strategies and guidelines.
- Work in compliance with company policies and procedures for operational efficiency.
- Facilitates Project related meeting internal and external: setting up meeting, writing and gathering agenda items, and writing meeting minutes.
- Assist Project Managers in their assigned responsibilities.
- Assist in developing architecture documents, functional specifications, design documents and architecture diagrams.
- Plays a dual role in both leadership and design acts as the senior project manager who oversees inexperienced and new staff members, while they are in the process of completing a project.
- Manage the work of other design professionals, assist in managing the development of architectural designs and preliminary construction details.
- Redlining and reviewing construction documents and distributing to the project team.
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design and drafting technology for the creation of plans such as Revit, MOS and Bluebeam.
- Deliver construction documents to building contractors.
- Participate in pre-bid and construction meetings as needed.
- Work with construction manager to solve field problems, review submittal, respond to RFI?s and create ASIS?s.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task and to prioritize amongst tasks and projects.
- Working with clients to determine requirements for building projects.
- Preparing detailed drawings showing both the appearance and interior structure of a building project.
- Visiting building worksites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans.
- Developing and giving presentations to inform the public about upcoming public building projects.
- Strong problem-solving, demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop actionable tactical plans.
- Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
