R+L Carriers has an immediate need for an Assistant Construction Project Managers at our Wilmington, OH Service Center to manage new construction projects.
Objectives of this role:
An assistant construction project manager supports the project manager and team to plan and execute a construction project. Their responsibilities include:
- Administrative duties: Organize and maintain project documents, update databases, and set up meetings
- Budget management: Create and manage project budgets, review costs, and ensure projects stay within budget
- Scheduling: Develop project schedules, set milestones, and ensure field staff provide accurate schedules
- Quality control: Ensure project quality and establish job processes
- Communication: Coordinate with team members, vendors, clients, and employees
- Permits: Acquire the appropriate permits
- Subcontractors: Schedule meetings with subcontractors, negotiate change orders, and review subcontractor submittals
- Updates: Prepare regular updates for the property owner
- Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards and work around large construction equipment
