Are you a Principal level architect who specializes in Science & Technology projects? We are searching for a dynamic individual to lead our clients esteemed Science & Technology team in Southern California. This position offers a unique blend of opportunities across different market sectors, ensuring no two days are alike.
The Role: S&T Practice Principal
Location: Southern California - Los Angeles or San Diego (hybrid role)
Key Responsibilities:
Versatility: Engage in various market opportunities that our client's S&T studio serves, from biotech to higher education, pharma to life science, ensuring a holistic approach to all of their projects.
Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation in every project.
Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
Business Development: Act as a 'seller-doer', leveraging your network to win new projects and expand the S&T studio's reach.
Team Collaboration: Engage with team members and clients, ensuring 3 days a week of in-office collaboration for optimal synergy.
Requirements:
Four- or five-year accredited college degree in architecture; graduate work preferred.
Minimum of 15 years' experience in the architecture industry.
Registration/licensure.
LEED accreditation desired.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
Strong advocate for design, with a focus on mentorship and leadership.
Ability to anticipate client needs and respond promptly.
Willingness to travel outside of Southern California as required.
Strong network in Science & Technology, with demonstrated success in winning projects.

Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from $190,000-$230,000, dependent on experience and skills, with the potential to join as a shareholder.
