NexWealth is an RIA/multi-family office and is currently seeking an Operations Manager to plan, organize, and run the daily operations of two separately-registered RIA firms (wealth management firm and advisor to a mutual fund). This individual will contribute to the culture and values of the organizations by introducing and maintaining initiatives and policies that support the firms' visions. This position is in the Philadelphia office and reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
• Manage a team of 7-10 individuals; establish clear expectations, accountability, conduct regular performance evaluations
• Ensure team is responding to client needs regarding service, trading, and problem resolution in a timely and accurate manner
• Oversee new account setup, money movement, portfolio accounting, trading and performance reporting
• Maintain and oversee CRM databases and company systems and software, including new implementation and renewals
• Vendor management and contract negotiation
• Manage payroll and company benefits
• Manage business insurance policies
• Lead firm hiring and new employee onboarding processes
• Respond to mutual fund due diligence questionnaires
• Assist in mutual fund materials - prospectus, SAI, Semi/Annual reports, quarterly filings, presentations, 15-c, etc.
• Serve as a project manager on large firm projects
• Participate in business planning meetings
• Work with Chief Compliance Office to ensure adherence to all regulatory compliance and risk-related requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years in a business operations role within the financial services industry - RIA, family office, multi-family office, wealth management, or similar firm
• Experience with most or all of the responsibilities listed above
• Familiarity with industry regulations and regulatory exams
• Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience with financial planning/reporting software
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Motivated, positive individual with a strong work ethic
• Work in firm’s Philadelphia office (this is not a remote position)
• Willingness to provide professional references and undergo a background check and drug testing in accordance with local law/regulations.
