The Chief Executive Officer of LCH in Lindsborg, Kansas will be replacing a departing CEO, Larry Van Der Wege. Mr. Van Der Wege has been with LCH since 1998 and the CEO since 2008 and will be departing the organization in November 2024 for a position within the Kansas Hospital Association. Reporting directly to the health system President and CEO and in partnership with him and the boards, the CEO will translate strategic, financial, and operating targets into facility and departmental business plans within the context of the system’s strategic plan, including facilitating the improved efficiencies and identification, development and implementation of new programs and services. The hospital employs 117 (85 FTEs).
Areas of first year and ongoing emphasis for the Chief Executive Officer at Lindsborg Community Hospital will include the following:
- Develop an understanding of the history and culture of the Salina organization as a whole and its entities; serve as a champion and an inspiring leader for LCH, building confidence in the continued growth and success of Salina.
- Establish strong and effective working relationships with key constituencies across LCH and the health system, including board members, leadership, and specifically all members of the medical staff.
- Embrace the opportunity to meet and work collaboratively with constituents in Lindsborg and across McPherson County, understanding their unique needs and interests.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with nursing, medical staff, and others to develop systems to foster the cost-effective delivery of high-quality care, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction.
- Continued execution of Salina's strategy of service line development, to include developing medical staff buy-in and coordination for optimal patient care.
- Support the transformation of care models for rural Central Kansas.
