A large, international law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate to join their team. This person can go into any of the firm's 25+ U.S. office OR can choose to work 100% remote. The position involves representing insurers with regard to coverage advice and litigation.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in California, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington state.
- Experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
2+ years of insurance coverage experience. Licensed to practice law in California.
