Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced GCP & BigQuery Developer with a strong background in SQL to join our team in Richardson, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with BigQuery and data management, and be proficient in developing complex SQL queries.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain BigQuery datasets, data models, and ETL pipelines.
Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
Ensure data integrity, security, and governance across all GCP-related projects.
Automate data workflows and perform ad-hoc data analysis using SQL and other GCP tools.
Participate in troubleshooting and performance tuning of BigQuery and SQL-related issues.
Qualifications:
5-6 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with BigQuery.
Strong expertise in SQL: ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL pipelines, and data modeling.
Familiarity with Python or other programming languages for automation and scripting.
Solid understanding of cloud-based architecture and best practices in cloud storage, data processing, and management.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.
Knowledge of DataOps practices.
Certifications in Google Cloud or BigQuery.
