Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a well-established company in Akron, Ohio. This pivotal role involves leading a team of maintenance staff, implementing maintenance plans, optimizing processes, and ensuring timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks and deadlines
Salary: $95-110K- With 10% bonus
100% Onsite
Shift: 7:30-4:00 (flexible)
Job Duties:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
- Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Coordinates activities of maintenance personnel.
- Directs maintenance activities to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
- Displays knowledge of plant operational systems including refrigeration, electrical, air and piping. Knowledge of PLC’s, fillers, packaging equipment and support equipment.
- Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with production scheduling and maintenance staff.
- Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Job Specifications & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or maintenance operations management role.
- Proven record of accomplishment of managing production processes and leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
- Trained in continuous improvement tools and experience use in a production environment.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
