As a Senior Assistant Executive Steward, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operation of all stewarding activities within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of all food and beverage service areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils, while also managing a team of stewards to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene.
The Day-to-day
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of stewards, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to standards.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of stewarding operations, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, waste management, and inventory control, to maintain a clean and orderly environment throughout the facility.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict adherence to sanitation and hygiene protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies, to meet operational requirements efficiently while controlling costs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with culinary and food and beverage teams to coordinate stewarding activities with kitchen operations and event schedules, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and efficiency improvements within the stewarding department, implementing best practices and innovative solutions as appropriate.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment maintenance, incident reports, and other relevant documentation, providing regular reports to senior management as required.
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience in Stewarding, Kitchen Management, or F&B Operations.
- 2 years of prior relevant experience in Stewarding, Kitchen Management, F&B Operations, or similar.

- Experience working in large-scale resort settings, with an understanding of the complexities involved in managing multiple kitchens and large teams.
- Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
