Akkodis is looking for Manufacturing Production Managers in Erie, PA (5 openings), seeking someone who can provide frontline leadership to a team of technicians, ensuring operational efficiency, process adherence, and team development. In this role, you will solve problems, manage day-to-day activities, and drive productivity while maintaining schedules and managing the hourly workforce.
Pay Rate: $80,000-100,000/annum with benefits
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience managing initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Proven problem-solving and process improvement skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Willingness to take on challenges and grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and leadership to the Operations team, including troubleshooting and equipment repair.
- Train and develop the technical skills of operations employees, ensuring alignment with business strategy and metrics.
- Lead and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, acting as a safety expert for the Operations team.
- Support production schedules, drive productivity and quality initiatives, and manage operations within budget constraints.
- Use data analysis to identify and execute improvement projects.
- Interface with internal and external customers, setting priorities for shifts and work groups through shift start-up/shift-change meetings.
- Manage employee schedules, including timekeeping, overtime, and discipline.
- Communicate and enforce safety policies, plant policies, and the employee handbook.
- Lead cross-functional teams and demonstrate leadership and coaching skills to team members.
Physical Demands:
- Exposure to the shop floor requires wearing steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
- Must be able to walk, climb, stoop, bend, and lift.
