IBM Maximo Sr. Engineer & Technical Lead – (Perm) – Hybrid – NY
Successful energy utilities organization seeks an IBM Maximo Senior Engineer & Technical Lead for a full-time permanent hybrid role in New York. This individual must have 5+ years’ experience within engineering and 3+ years having worked with an Enterprise Asset Management System. Additionally, this person will possess SDLC project expertise on implementations specifically. Ideal candidate will also have Java, Restful APIs, and Web services expertise as well as SQL. Individual should have functional user facing skills as well, to include leading requirements gathering sessions and documentation with key stakeholders. Additionally Spring/Boot and DevOps expertise is desired, but not required. Opportunity offers a full-time permanent position within an innovative organization working on an implementation of Maximo version 8 (MAS8). Also offered competitive base compensation and benefits.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder; located within the states.
- 5+ years’ experience within Information Technology.
- 3+ years' experience in Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM), Application Technical Design, and EAM DevOps implementations.
- A history of working on data imports and migrations related to EAM, to include transferring data from legacy systems to EAM, while ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout.
- Advanced knowledge in Java and SQL.
- Understanding of business processes and workflow design and management within various system processes and EAM Platforms.
- Experience performing conversions of functional requirements into technical specifications to include configurations, customization and interface building.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
- IT Infrastructural and application development conceptual understanding, having worked in this capacity prior.
- Adaptability within an ever changing, fast-paced business environment, with an ability to change priorities and direction as needs and goals change throughout project.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with system integrator, in addition to IT and business users to assist in the replacement of legacy mainframe systems with IBM Maximo EAM.
- Performing and contributing to solution architectural design to include participation in Maximo installations and upgrade work.
- Configuring Maximo and developing interfaces into external systems as needed.
- Providing technical services throughout the entire SDLC.
- Developing and Documenting extensive technical design documentation to ensure business requirements needs are met.
- Managing multiple technical environments supporting all development and testing.
- Leading/performing hands-on data conversions and assistance to migration efforts.
- Assisting with data migration while ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout.
- Utilizing Java and SQL as required for the project.
- Working closely with users cross-organizationally to ensure system processes align with business priorities and goals, to include authoring workflow design documentation within Enterprise Asset Management Platform.
- Utilization of RESTful APIs and web services as needed throughout the projects.
- Conducting system testing when required while collaborating with Testing Center of Excellence to streamline and standardize quality assurance.
- Leading and delegating tasks to indirect reports as required.
