Lumicity is currently partnered with a IoT startup dedicated to revolutionizing how the world interacts with sustainable technology.
They are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python to ensure the reliability and performance of our hardware and software.
- Test Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans that cover both hardware and software components.
- Testing Hardware/Devices: Develop and execute test plans for consumer devices and hardware, including integration, system, and performance testing.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in our testing processes and work to enhance our automation infrastructure and practices.
- Documentation: Create detailed test documentation, including test cases, bug reports, and test result summaries.
Key Requirements:
- Core Computer Science Skills: Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Test Experience: Proven experience in testing hardware and consumer devices, including designing and executing test plans and identifying potential issues.
- Test Automation: Proficiency in test automation, with hands-on experience in creating and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Python Scripting: Strong skills in Python scripting for test automation, with the ability to write and debug complex scripts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hardware Testing Tools: Familiarity with hardware testing tools and methodologies.
- IoT Experience: Experience working with IoT devices and understanding their unique testing requirements.
- Agile Environment: Experience working in Agile development environments and familiarity with Agile testing practices.
