Pay: $25.00 - $32.00
Qualifications:

- One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to five years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and setup sheets.
- Effective communication skills with team members, peers, and Team Leader.
- Fluent in English; Japanese as a second language is beneficial.
Mathematical Skills:
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, as well as trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly lift a container of fasteners weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.

Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance (TPM) on industrial equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures, specify replacement parts, and improvise temporary fixes until permanent solutions can be implemented.
- Mechanical repair includes plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and part replacement.
- Follow plant and OSHA safety practices while performing tasks.
- Learn to operate equipment and assist production team members in their training.
- Occasionally set up equipment and run production.
- Provide support for quality non-conformance investigations and problem resolution.
- Make machine adjustments for continuous improvement projects (e.g., tool life and part quality).
- Perform mechanical repairs for breakdowns.
- Perform fabrication and machining to make or modify repair parts.
- Suggest stocking critical parts and adding to Kanban.
- Support installation of new equipment and processes.
- Support machinery moves.
- Knowledge of machine setups and changeovers.
- Help plan scheduled downtime for TPM and repairs.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Operate machinery for production volume increases.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance and the ability to work overtime and Saturdays.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
- Ability to write repair reports.
