A Brief Overview
Enterprise Architect will provide strategic leadership in aligning Enterprise capabilities with business strategies and drive for efficiency and flexibility across the organization through technology standardization, reuse and complexity reduction. Responsible for defining architectural principles, technology standards, industry best practices, architectural governance processes and reusable reference architectures. Responsible for evaluating the current state architecture and defining the future state architecture, transition plan and architectural road maps. Ensures project compliance by establishing right level of governance model. This role will work closely with executives, key departmental management and project stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization is a key priority in this role.
What you will do
• Partner with key stakeholders across the organization, both IT and business units, to identify key business strategies and drive IT Strategies and solutions that align with business strategies.
• Development and maintenance of architectural artifacts such as context diagrams, conceptual architecture, logical architecture, physical architecture and reference architectures.
• Leads the development of architectural principles, guidelines and technology standards that can be leveraged across the organization.
• Evaluates architectural landscape for efficiencies, defines current state and targets state architecture and transition plans, road maps to achieve desired architectural state.
• Leads or participates in Enterprise vendor, technology and tool selection.
• Researches industry trends and best practices and develops recommendations of technologies and methods to stakeholders at all levels.
• Promotes development of Enterprise IT assets and services for use across business units.
• Defines right level of governance structures such as architecture review board and technology review board and actively participates in governance process to enforce architectural principles, standards and alignment with target and reference architectures.
• Provides architectural consultation, support, mentoring and guidance to enterprise architects, solution architects and project teams.
• Contributes to the growth and maturity of Enterprise architecture processes as the discipline evolves.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent work experience.(Required)
• Professional Enterprise architecture experience is required. (Required)
• Extensive experience developing architectural models with depth in one or more of the sub-disciplines of business architecture, information architecture and application/technical architecture and breadth across all disciplines. (Required)
• Experience with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks. (Required)
• Experience with product evaluations and selection, buy-or-build. (Required)
• Experience with multiple programming languages is a plus (C#, Java, .NET and C++). (Required)
• Experience with IBM Content Management Systems such as FileNet P8 is a plus. (Preferred)
• Familiarity with insurance and financial systems is desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and reasoning skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Strong understanding of messaging, MOM, SOA, ESB and EAI principles and patterns.
• Working knowledge of Web Services, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON and interface design.
• Expertise with a broad base of products, technologies, platforms, patterns, frameworks and methodologies.
• Knowledge of technical design documentation methodologies and technologies (Visio, UML, object modeling, etc.).
• Familiarity with Visualization tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with UML modelling tools.
• TOGAF or other architectural framework certification Upon Hire (Preferred)
