Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is seeking a hands-on DAS Engineer with over 6 years of experience to join our team, providing critical support to state government customers in the NYC/NJ areas. This role is ideal for a technician with extensive experience in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of wireless communications systems, specifically in-building DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems). The successful candidate will be responsible for fixing or replacing DAS systems at various locations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Position Duties:
- DAS Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues with existing DAS systems to ensure continuous operation and compliance with required standards.
- System Replacement & Upgrades: Perform system replacements or upgrades, ensuring the latest technologies and equipment are utilized.
- Installation of Communication Systems: Install and configure fiber optic and coaxial cables as part of DAS systems, ensuring proper connections and system integration.
- Commissioning & Integration: Provision, commission, and integrate DAS systems, ensuring seamless operation across various platforms.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, reports, and manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations, particularly in systems operating in the 800MHz, 400MHz, and cellular bands.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of proven experience in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of wireless communications systems, with a focus on in-building DAS for neutral host wireless cellular systems and public safety systems.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of DAS provisioning, commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting. Must have hands-on experience with the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cables.
- Technology Savvy: Must stay current with newer technologies and equipment related to DAS systems.
- Frequency Band Knowledge: Experience working with systems operating in the 800MHz, 400MHz, and cellular bands is essential.
- Technical Writing: Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and comprehensive documentation.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
