Position Summary:
As an HR Coordinator/Generalist, you will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions and supporting our employees throughout their employment lifecycle. You will be responsible for handling HR operations, employee relations, and compliance while ensuring a seamless HR experience. This role requires a strong background in financial services and familiarity with Workday systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR activities including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management. Ensure accurate and timely processing of HR transactions.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, conflict resolution, and performance management. Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, managing job postings, and supporting the hiring process. Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Training and Development: Coordinate training programs and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth. Track and report on training completion and effectiveness.
- HR Systems Management: Utilize Workday and other HR systems to manage employee data, generate reports, and streamline HR processes. Ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
- HR Reporting: Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making and strategic planning. Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator or Generalist role within the financial services industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Workday Experience: Proven experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
