What You Will Be Doing:
- Write, test, and execute code and pipelines for infrastructure and cloud operations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for infrastructure and cloud technologies.
- Develop, lead, and optimize the peer review process for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Work with teams to understand existing infrastructure and assist in achieving the next step forward.
- Design full-stack cloud technology solutions in collaboration with application development teams.
- Take ownership of existing technology solutions and recommend improvements for increased efficiency, resiliency, and automation.
- Lead the implementation of additional tools and processes to maintain an automation-first approach.
- Help create roadmaps to sunset, replace, and decommission legacy implementations.
- Integrate an agile approach to software development.
- Support and maintain distributed storage technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study, or commensurate experience.
- 5+ years of experience in information systems with a combination of the following:
- Technical certification.
- Experience building and scaling highly available cloud architectures, all while maintaining high-quality codebases.
- Experience building infrastructure solutions in Amazon Web Services (AWS), including tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Lambda, and serverless deployments.
- Experience using system monitoring and automated self-healing.
- Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Python, shell scripting, and other automation tools.
- Full stack application development experience, including CI/CD pipeline development, automated builds, testing, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps methods of planning work
- Proficient in source control and leveraging a source code repository.
- Proficient in containerization and management of Linux distributions.
- Excellent writing and documentation skills.
- Creative troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- US Citizen
