General Function:
This position demands a unique blend of business and technical savvy, technical POS experience and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, and managing projects designed to increase company scalability and efficiencies. The five main roles of the project manager include project planning, resource management, risk management, communication management and quality management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting and managing client expectations
- Developing a detailed project plan
- Defining the scope of a project including cost involved
- Understanding a projects risk
- Assigning appropriate resources
- Managing work-flows to complete projects on time and within budget
- Evaluate and prioritize multiple projects
- Creating long- and short-term plans, aligning with corporate goals
- Prioritizing projects to meet corporate goals
- Ability to set targets for milestones, track progress and adhering to deadlines
- Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
- Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
- Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple departments are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
- Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals
- Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
- Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
