Position: Maintenance Technician - Metal Stamping

About the Role:
I have partnered with a leading metal stamping company that operates in a challenging but rewarding environment. We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician to join the team. This position will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing a variety of both older and newer machinery in the metal stamping facility.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot metal stamping equipment, both mechanical and electrical, ensuring maximum uptime in a harsh environment.
- Diagnose and repair older and newer machinery, including PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens), motor controls, hydraulics, solenoids, pneumatics, and HMIs.
- Perform maintenance on 480v, 3-phase systems, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Operate and repair conveyor systems, working at heights up to 10 meters, and entering confined spaces such as pits.
- Utilize lifts and other tools to access high or difficult-to-reach machinery and components.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to written procedures and schedules.
Required Experience:
- 7+ years of experience as a maintenance technician, ideally in the metal stamping industry or similar.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, particularly with PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, motor controls, and conveyor systems.
- Expertise in 480v, 3-phase systems.
- Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
- Proven track record of working in harsh manufacturing environments.
- Experience climbing and working at heights, as well as in confined spaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in the metal stamping industry is highly desirable.
- Experience working on both older and newer machinery, with a mix of Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems.
